Gaming supplement formulation

A gaming supplement is a session drink for long screen time: moderate caffeine or none, flavour people will sip, and a formula that is not a gym pre-workout with a controller on the tub.

Gaming focus stick pack, slim bottle and a measured line of powder

A gaming supplement is a drink mixed for a long session at a desk or on a couch. People sip it over one or two hours. They are not loading a 20-minute barbell block. That changes caffeine, flavour intensity, serving size and what you put next to caffeine on the label.

It is not a sports pre-workout with a different sticker. Pre-workout can carry high caffeine, beta-alanine tingles, a heavy pump system and a sour candy flavour that you finish in ten minutes. A gaming SKU that copies that list will be abandoned halfway through a match. Write the session first. Then write the formula.

Caffeine, or none

Many gaming briefs ask for a moderate caffeine load. Enough to feel like a working drink. Not enough to stack badly with a second serving, an energy drink already on the desk, or a late-night ranked game. Some brands sell a caffeine-free twin so the same flavour works in the afternoon. That twin is a real SKU. It is not the caffeinated formula with the caffeine line deleted on a spreadsheet and nothing else checked.

Caffeine amount is a commercial position. It is not a medical dose. We will not write labels that promise sharper aim, faster reaction time or treatment of any cognitive condition. Alertness wording, where the market allows it, stays inside the rules for caffeine. If your market cannot carry a cognition claim, the formula can still exist. The pack text cannot invent one.

Hydration crossover and focus ingredients

Long sessions mean fluid. A light electrolyte set (sodium, potassium, sometimes magnesium) is a common crossover with a daily hydration drink. Keep the mineral load drinkable over a large bottle. A salty endurance stick in a gaming flavour will sit unfinished. Carbohydrate is optional and usually light. This is not an intra-workout carb mix for a three-hour ride.

Focus ingredients in this category often include L-theanine next to caffeine, tyrosine, and sometimes a choline source. Each one is a choice with a cost, a taste and a label limit. None of them turns the drink into a medicine. Citicoline or a branded choline is not automatic. Beta-alanine and high-dose citrulline belong in gym pre-workout unless you have a reason they belong in a sipping product. Tingles and a pump story fight the session you said you wanted.

Flavour, pack and serving

Flavour has to last. Soft fruit, iced tea, cola-adjacent and light candy notes work more often than a 400 mg pre-workout sour. Colour and sweetness should look like a drink you leave on a mouse mat, not a shot you grimace through. Acid and sweetener need a check at the real bottle volume, not in a 100 ml tasting cup.

Tubs start at 300 finished units per product and flavour. Stick packs start at 5,000 finished units. Sticks suit a single session in a bag or a creator sample drop. A tub suits a desk habit and a larger serving. The serving must dissolve in the water people actually pour. A 12 g stick in 500 ml is a different drink from a 15 g scoop in 300 ml. Pick one and flavour to that.

What belongs in the brief

A line with a caffeinated evening SKU and a caffeine-free afternoon SKU is a real architecture. Same flavour, different caffeine line, checked as two formulas. A line that also copies a 400 mg gym pre-workout into a “gamer series” is three products fighting for the same customer. Launch the session drink first. Add the twin when the first flavour is finished in real bottles, not in a 50 ml tasting cup.

Name session length, caffeine or caffeine-free, whether a hydration layer sits in the same scoop, which focus materials you actually want, flavour direction and pack. Say if the drink should feel closer to a soft daily hydration SKU or closer to a moderate-stim pre-workout. We will not treat “gaming” as a licence for medical language. Configure the direction in the pre-workout builder, then we quote the powder and the pack on a specification that can ship.
