Daily Hydration vs Performance Hydration
Daily hydration and performance hydration are different products. One is lighter and made for ordinary days. The other is made for long sessions or heavy sweating. No single dose covers both.

Daily hydration and performance hydration are different products. The daily formula stays lighter, so people can drink it on an ordinary day. The performance formula carries more minerals, usually more sodium, for long sessions or heavy sweating.
There is no dose that is best for both. What suits a normal day rarely suits a long ride or a hot, hard session. The brief starts with when the drink is used.
What a daily product looks like
Daily products keep sodium and the total mineral load modest. The flavour is light enough to repeat. The serving should dissolve in a normal bottle and should not taste like a race drink.
A stick fits this use: a fixed dose, easy to carry, easy to sample. A tub works when the customer already scoops a drink each day. The point is regular use, not the highest mineral level that fits in the pack.
What a performance product is for
These products assume more sweat, and a job during the session itself. Sodium usually goes up. The total electrolyte load goes up with it. The flavour has to stay drinkable when someone is hot, tired and taking small sips. A first cold taste at a desk does not tell you that.
Some stay with hydration and use little or no carbohydrate. Others sit next to an endurance fuel. If carbohydrate is the main point, it is a different product. Say so at the start of the brief.
What the brief has to settle
A daily brief is about easy drinking on ordinary days, a simpler mineral range, and often one serving per pack. A performance brief is about how much people sweat, a higher sodium level, when they drink during the session, and sometimes a larger volume.
Neither product is the premium version of the other. They belong on different shelves and in different moments. One formula in the middle leaves you explaining the compromise for as long as it is on sale.
Long rides
Long rides usually need the performance product. Carbohydrate can sit beside it. Bottle size, how often someone can refill, and heat all change the brief. A light daily stick can still go in a pocket on easy days. Race day is a separate decision.
HYROX and mixed sessions
HYROX-style work and mixed indoor sessions combine heat, hard efforts and little time to drink. People often want more than a daily drink, and not always a full endurance carbohydrate load. Session length, and a bottle within reach, matter more than copying a road-cycling formula.
One product or two
If most of your sales are in everyday retail, lead with the daily product and add performance later. If you sell to people who train, race or do HYROX, lead with performance. The daily drink can be a second, lighter product.
Two clear products are easier to explain than one formula that tries to cover both.
Making the powder
When the use is settled, we make the powder to match: minerals, flavour, dose and pack. Set daily or performance in the Hydration Builder before a full production brief.

Hydration & Electrolytes
What are electrolytes?
Electrolytes are minerals such as sodium, potassium and magnesium. In a sports drink they help define what the product is made for. A daily hydration formula will usually look different from a product made for long endurance sessions or heavy sweating.

Why sodium matters in sports hydration
Athletes lose more sodium in sweat than the other electrolytes. In the drink, sodium also sets the salt taste. There is no single dose that fits every product.

Electrolyte stick packs vs powder
A stick and a tub can carry the same minerals. They are different products to make, to sell and to use. The format changes the dose, the samples and the minimum order.
